Giant Dragonflies in the Hanging Swamps of the Blue Mountains

Perched precariously between flat-topped mountains, hanging swamps flow over the edge of precipitous canyons with 600m vertical drops at their edge. It's here, above the Gross Wilderness in the Blue Mountains just an hour and a half drive from Sydney that the giants live. Petal-tail dragonflies come from a prehistoric line, sharing characteristics with fossils 190 million years old.
